Calm with Marc Casadó

The FC Barcelona midfielder felt a twinge in his adductor moments before the match against Celta de Vigo began and, as a precaution, gave up his place in the starting eleven to Dani Olmo.

Just minutes before the start at Balaídos, the Barça coaching staff had to make a last-minute change to the planned lineup: Marc Casadó was not at a hundred percent and decided not to take any risks. Just five minutes before the kickoff, he communicated his discomfort and requested a substitution to avoid possible physical complications. This Monday, the player went to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to undergo medical tests. The results have confirmed that it is a minor injury and therefore not serious. In fact, the club will not issue an official medical report on his condition, reflecting the calmness regarding his recovery. Although the player continues to have slight discomfort, no major consequences are expected. Thanks to the November international break, Casadó will have the necessary time to fully recover. If everything goes as planned, his return to the pitch would occur in the next league match for Barça, on Saturday, November 22 at 16:15 against Athletic Club in the Catalan capital. In the coming days, the medical staff will closely monitor his recovery to ensure that the player is in top condition when the competition resumes.
