Sánchez Martínez will referee the Barça-Athletic Club.

The referee who will officiate this Saturday´s match between FC Barcelona and Athletic Club, coinciding with the debut of the new Spotify Camp Nou, is already known. The match will be officiated by the Murcian referee José María Sánchez Martínez, the top candidate from Spanish refereeing to attend next summer´s World Cup. Daniel Trujillo will be in the VAR. This will be the first time he officiates the azulgranas this season and the second time for the Basque club, whom he already officiated in their defeat in the fourth round against Alavés by 0-1 in the derby at the Estadio de Mendizorroza.
