Hansi Flick´s uncertainties for the visit to Sevilla before the break

After the stumble in Champions, the azulgrana team needs to turn the page and focus on their league commitment against Sevilla. A victory would be key, as it would allow Flick´s team to reach the international break at the top of the table regardless of what Real Madrid does.

An uncomfortable rival despite their shortcomings

Sevilla, with Matías Almeyda at the helm, has gained solidity and collective order, although they still have limitations at the individual level and carry long-standing institutional problems. Nevertheless, they have become a complicated opponent. The Andalusian team has accumulated 10 points out of 21 possible and, curiously, all their victories have been away from home. At the Pizjuán, they have yet to provide a win for their fans, and the visit of the leader represents an extra motivation. On quality, Barça is the favorite, but they must avoid letting the psychological blow from PSG affect their performance.

Changes in the eleven

Hansi Flick plans to introduce rotations compared to the European match. The absences remain the same: Fermín, Raphinha, and Joan Garcia will not be available, in addition to the already known Gavi and Ter Stegen, both long-term injured. In attack, Lewandowski is set to regain his starting position after resting in Champions. Rashford, who has several consecutive starts, could be one of the players replaced. In midfield, Dro had minutes last week, although new developments are not ruled out.

Will Casadó play alongside Frenkie?

Casadó could come in to give Frenkie de Jong a rest or even partner with him, joining Pedri in the midfield. In defense, Araujo would return to the center of the backline, and Christensen may also enter the eleven. The doubt remains at left-back: Gerard Martín arrives with many minutes in his legs and Balde could have an opportunity, although the Hispanic-Dominican is still short on competitive rhythm. Additionally, Eric Garcia´s physical condition will need to be closely monitored, as he is one of the most used players by Flick at the start of the season, who finished very loaded after the match against PSG. The possible eleven would be: Szczesny; Koundé or Eric, Araujo, Christensen, Gerard Martín or Balde; De Jong, Casadó, Pedri; Ferran or Rashford, Lewandowski, and Lamine.

Will Toni Fernández get minutes?

After Dro´s participation, the question arises whether Toni Fernández could finally have quality minutes. The young player has accumulated call-ups but has yet to have a significant role, despite the fact that he could bring creativity and associative play in the attacking midfield. However, his participation seems unlikely at the moment.
