The Barça´s response to Leo Messi: ”Always welcome to your home”

The Argentine star shared on Instagram some photographs taken in the remodeled stadium accompanied by a message that moved all Barcelona fans: "a place where I was immensely happy, the happiest person in the world". He also added: "I hope one day I can return, and not just to say goodbye as a player, as I never could...".

A surprise visit to the new Camp Nou

According to club sources, Messi showed up at the Spotify Camp Nou and requested authorization from the Limak staff —the company in charge of the works— to access the stadium. Barça, which had no prior knowledge of the visit, did not impose any restrictions and allowed the former player to enter.

Shortly after, the Catalan club publicly responded to the Argentine´s gesture with a message full of affection on their Instagram account: "Always welcome to your home, Leo", they wrote alongside one of the images that the current player of Inter Miami took on the historic stadium´s pitch.
