La Liga denounces chants against Barça and the culés in the Classic
LaLiga has made public, as every week, the report that will be sent to the RFEF Competition Committee and the Anti-Violence Commission.
This document includes the "chants that occur in football matches that incite violence or have insulting or intolerant content", considered prohibited conduct and, therefore, punishable.
Chants detected at the Santiago Bernabéu
Regarding the Classic between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona, held at the Santiago Bernabéu, the report records two specific chants sung by the local fans. On one hand, 35 minutes before the start and in the 2nd minute of the match, a group of supporters located in the "Grada Fans RMCF", in the South End, chanted together and coordinated for about 10 seconds the chant: "Puta Barça, puta Barça, eh". It is also detailed that, on two occasions before the start of the match, the same fans repeated another chant: "Olelé, olalá, being from Barça is being a subnormal". Although LaLiga has not included more chants in its report, witnesses of the match claim that other insults such as "Puta Catalunya" and "Es polaco el que no bote" were also heard.Hostile atmosphere and tension on the pitch
As expected, the FC Barcelona faced a hostile atmosphere at the Bernabéu. Beyond the offensive chants, the local fans produced loud boos towards the Barça players, with particular intensity against Lamine Yamal every time he touched the ball. This tension also transferred to the field, causing confrontations and moments of tension between the players of both teams. After the match, crossed statements and controversies have followed in the media about what happened.Other incidents in different matches
In addition to the Classic, LaLiga has denounced chants against Joan García, goalkeeper of FC Barcelona, during the match between Espanyol and Elche: "In the 35th minute of the match, a group of local fans, located in Gol Cornellá, sectors 109, 110, and 111 and members of the cheering section ´Grada Canito´, chanted in a coordinated manner for approximately 20 seconds the chant ´We want Joan´s head´ referring to the FC Barcelona goalkeeper, Joan García." Not only local supporters participated in these behaviors. It is also noted that: "In the 42nd minute of the match, a group of VISITING fans, located in Gol de El Prat de Llobregat, sectors 229, 230, and 231, chanted in a coordinated manner for 15 seconds the chant ´Puta Barça´, being echoed by local fans located in different sectors of the stadium." In short, LaLiga continues its work of monitoring and denouncing all those behaviors that promote violence or intolerance in stadiums, with the aim of eradicating offensive chants and promoting a respectful atmosphere in Spanish football.More news
