Flick and Lewandowski, united in the message: Barça must start strong and maintain ambition

In the lead-up to the important Champions League clash against Club Brugge, Hansi Flick and Robert Lewandowski appeared before the media to analyze the team´s moment and the preparation for the match.

The German coach was clear: Barça must show their best version from the first minute, while the Polish forward made it clear that he remains committed to the project and is ready to take on the role the team needs.

Hansi Flick insists on intensity from the start

The Blaugrana coach acknowledged that the team has not started some recent matches well and that this must change immediately. “We have to start the match well,” Flick emphasized, recalling what happened in Seville and pointing out that they cannot afford a slow start if they want to dominate the Champions.

In addition, the coach explained that the coaching staff has decided to change the pre-match routine, maintaining preparation at the Ciutat Esportiva before the trip to Belgium to optimize rest and concentration. A sign that every detail matters. “We are Barça, and our supporters want to see us fight for every ball,” added the coach, reaffirming the commitment to the demands that come with representing the club.

Flick also warned about the danger of the opponent and the need not to be overconfident: “Brugge plays with a lot of energy and at home they always push hard. We must be focused from the first minute and maintain our intensity for 90 minutes.”

Lewandowski: leadership and quality over quantity

For his part, Robert Lewandowski spoke with the calmness and experience that characterize him. He admitted that, over time, he understands that he may not be a starter in every match, but emphasized that his goal is to always deliver maximum performance: “What matters is not how many minutes I play, but the quality of those minutes.”

Flick, present alongside him, did not hesitate to praise him: “I don’t think there is another player who takes better care of his body than Robert.” A message that makes clear the mutual respect between coach and forward. Lewandowski, for his part, stated that he remains motivated and feels physically prepared to help the team in this Champions.

The Pole also wanted to highlight the growth of the group under Flick, pointing out that “the team is increasingly understanding what the coach wants. We are working hard and it shows in training.”

A focused and hungry Barça

The general feeling after the press conference is that Barça arrives focused, committed, and hungry for victory. Flick has managed to instill a mentality of daily work and attention to detail that the locker room seems to have assimilated. The modification of the travel plan, the management of rest, and the demands in training are signs of serious preparation.

The objective is clear: start strong, maintain intensity, and demonstrate that Barça remains competitive in Europe. “We are going for it all,” concluded Flick with determination.
