Ferran Torres does not train before the Barça-Girona

The Valencia forward is a serious doubt for the match against Girona this Saturday at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.

The FC Barcelona completed its last training session on Friday at the Camp Tito Vilanova of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, in the lead-up to the clash against Girona (Saturday, 16:15 hours) in Montjuïc. After the international break, football returns with the Catalan derby, which will also be the last commitment before the first classic of the season between Barça and Real Madrid, scheduled for next week at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Ferran Torres, out against Girona

Ferran Torres did not participate in the training session led by Hansi Flick and will not be available for the match corresponding to matchday 9 of LaLiga EA Sports. The Foios attacker had to leave the Spanish national team camp early due to a "strain in the hamstring muscles of the left leg, with no associated injury". Although the club communicated that the player "is not out and will continue specific treatment", the discomfort has not subsided and the player will miss the match against Girona. Ferran continues to feel some slight discomfort, a situation he himself communicated to Flick on Thursday. Although the problem does not seem serious, the coaching staff prefers not to take risks with one of the fittest players in the squad. The German coach has opted for total caution with the forward, thus avoiding possible relapses or physical setbacks.

Raphinha still not training

Raphinha also did not participate in the training, having suffered a setback in his injury in the middle third of the right hamstring. The Brazilian continues to work separately from the group while he continues his recovery process.

Good news: Fermín and Lamine Yamal return

On the contrary, there was positive news in the session. Fermín López and Lamine Yamal returned to training with the rest of the group and are expected to receive medical clearance in time for the Catalan derby. Both players completed the work without discomfort and could return to the squad. To reinforce the session and complete the numbers, Hansi Flick called up seven players from the reserve team: Diego Kochen, Eder Aller, Xavi Espart, Jofre Torrents, Dro, Juan Hernández and Toni Fernández.
