Barça already knows the root of its problems
Both president Joan Laporta and Deco have identified the causes that explain the difficult moment the team is going through.
After two consecutive defeats against PSG and Sevilla, concern in the blue and claret environment has skyrocketed.
Even so, the board and coaching staff maintain full confidence in the sports project.
In recent days, various opinions and analyses have emerged regarding the factors that have led the team to show a more fragile defense or less effective pressing. Now, both Laporta and Deco agree on the same diagnosis that had already been expressed by the first team´s coach.
The president´s words
The president of FC Barcelona, who recently participated in the meeting of the European Football Clubs (EFC) —formerly ECA—, made statements to the club´s official media in which he valued the work of Hansi Flick and Deco: "they are doing a great job, one in his role as coach and Deco in his role as director of football." However, Laporta did not hide his discontent with the recent performance: "we come from two matches that we have lost and that we did not play as we wanted." The president attributed part of the decline to "the many injuries" and, in particular, to "injuries to important players," although he trusts that Flick "will know how to turn the situation around taking advantage of the international break." Laporta also highlighted the recent statements of the German coach and the sports director, recalling Flick´s phrase "egos kill success" and Deco´s "we are a competitive team if we work hard", said in an interview with Catalunya Ràdio. For the top leader, these words reflect the attitude and level of demand that a team aspiring to win all titles must maintain.A shared diagnosis
Both Laporta and Deco and Hansi Flick share a clear vision: to achieve the objectives and fight for all championships, the group must set aside egos and bet on collective work. Individual quality is not enough; it is necessary for all players to give their all and maintain unity to try to match or even surpass the successes of last season.More news
