Rashford, Barça´s bet to strengthen the attack

In the last transfer market, FC Barcelona went into the market looking for a forward to strengthen its offensive line, and the chosen one was Marcus Rashford. The United player was not part of Rúben Amorim´s plans and had already ended up on loan at Aston Villa last season. Now, with Barça as his new destination, he has changed teams again under the same loan formula.

Great start as a Barça player

During his first months wearing the blaugrana jersey, Rashford has won over both the fans and the locker room. He is one of three players —along with Jules Koundé and Eric García— who have participated in all the matches of the Catalan team. In addition, he is the player with the greatest offensive impact to date: he has five goals and seven assists.

Barça, in no rush to define his future

Despite the excellent performance of the Englishman, Barcelona will not rush to decide his future. Within the club, they believe it is still too early to take a definitive stance and prefer to evaluate his development throughout the season before acting. If he maintains this level, the azulgrana entity will initiate conversations with Manchester United, a process that is not expected to be complicated, as the purchase option —valued at 30 million euros— was agreed upon last summer.

United remains attentive to their player

Meanwhile, Manchester United does not forget about Rashford. The forward has turned 28 years old, and the English club has dedicated a special greeting to him through its official account on ´X´, sharing an image of him in the Old Trafford team jersey.

Rashford himself responded to the gesture with a brief but heartfelt message: "thank you, guys", he wrote, accompanying his words with a heart in his post on ´X´. A detail that demonstrates the good relationship between both parties and confirms that, although he now defends the colors of Barça, United is still very attentive to the development of their player.
