Barça´s statement on its economic situation

FC Barcelona has issued a statement discussing an "economic recovery" ahead of the upcoming Assembly of Delegates, which will be held on October 19.

Results for the 2024/25 fiscal year

The blaugrana club presented on Wednesday the data corresponding to the 2024/25 economic year, along with the estimated budget for the current season. For the second consecutive year, the entity closed with positive ordinary results of 2 million euros, "thus consolidating its economic recovery and operational efficiency in all areas." Ordinary income stood at 994 million euros, "despite playing a second season at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys." The increase in attendance at matches, good sporting results, and the performance of commercial areas were key factors, particularly boosting stadium revenues, which grew by 39 million compared to the previous year.

Record in sponsorships and merchandising

In terms of sponsorships, Barça reached a new historical record of 259 million euros, driven by the recent contract with Nike and other strategic agreements. The merchandising business also recorded significant growth, reaching 170 million euros (a +55%), thanks to the international expansion of its e-commerce platform, which now operates in more than 170 countries.

Final results and financial control

Considering extraordinary impacts —such as the revaluation of Barça Produccions (178 million euros), the sale of the new hospitality product (PSL) that generated over 70 million, and the 15 million fine imposed by UEFA— the final result after taxes was -17 million euros. The club also highlighted the reduction of debt, which stands at 469 million euros, that is, 90 million less than the previous fiscal year, as well as a wage bill of 54% of ordinary income, "improving two points compared to last year and complying with UEFA regulations."

Record budget for the 2025/26 season

Looking ahead to the next fiscal year, Barça expects a budget of 1.075 billion euros in ordinary income, driven by the gradual return to Spotify Camp Nou, which should contribute an additional 50 million in stadium revenues. The club also hopes to set a new record in merchandising, aiming to reach 200 million euros, and close with a positive result before taxes of 5 million, which would mean "three consecutive years in positive values."

International projection and financial solidity

The Catalan entity emphasized that both sponsorships and merchandising have strengthened its international projection, in addition to the growth of its YouTube channel, which remains the most followed in the world among sports organizations, with over 24 million subscribers. According to the club´s statement, the reduction of debt and salary control place Barça in a solid position to face a "historic" season, with a budget exceeding one billion euros and a sound financial structure.
