The forwards that Barça is keeping on its radar
The sports management of FC Barcelona has been analyzing different profiles of forwards for some time due to the need to find a possible replacement for Robert Lewandowski this summer.
Although there is still no definitive resolution regarding the future of the Polish striker, his contract expires on June 30, and by then, he will be about to turn 38 years old. This scenario, combined with the fact that his salary remains one of the highest in the squad, pushes the club to seriously consider a parting of ways with its current ´9´.
For Lewandowski, however, the main idea remains the same: to extend his stay at Barça. Despite muscle injuries affecting him at the start of the season, the forward continues to show flashes of his goal-scoring instinct, such as the hat trick achieved against Celta. He has already accumulated seven goals in the nine times he has participated this season.
The squad also includes Ferran Torres, who last season demonstrated his ability to take over from the Polish player as an offensive reference. However, if Lewandowski ends up closing his chapter in Barcelona, the blaugrana entity will have to go to the market to incorporate a new striker.
Next, we review the numbers and contractual situation of the four forwards that the club is currently monitoring:

Julián Álvarez
The favorite card of the technical secretariat to reinforce the attack. His performance, age, growth potential, and experience in LaLiga make him an ideal target. However, the cost of an operation is the main obstacle. Atlético de Madrid will not facilitate his departure, despite the fact that since he was a child, his great dream has been to play in Barcelona. Additionally, with the recent sale of 55% of the rojiblanco shares to Apollo Sports Capital, the Madrid club does not face economic urgencies.Team: Atlético de Madrid

Harry Kane
Among the alternatives, he is the player whose profile most closely resembles Lewandowski´s: international experience, enormous scoring ability, and an imposing physique that would fit perfectly into Hansi Flick´s plans. However, his age would not contribute to the rejuvenation process that the club has been promoting in recent markets. Of the four candidates, he has the nearest expiration date, so Bayern must decide soon whether to renew him or take advantage of next summer to transfer him and avoid him becoming a free agent in 2027.Team: Bayern Munich

Etta Eyong
He is the most economical alternative that Barça is considering. His incorporation was already studied in the last moments of the August market, although a firm offer was ultimately not made. Villarreal ended up taking the striker from Levante for 3 million euros, but with a contract full of clauses designed for a possible future transfer. The distribution of profits varies according to the sale price: between 3 and 7.5 million, Villarreal keeps 80% of the capital gain; between 7.5 and 15 million, both clubs share 50%; and above 15 million, Levante would pocket 80% of the increase. Additionally, if Levante rejected an offer equal to or greater than 15 million, it would be obliged to pay Villarreal the capital gain that such an operation would have generated even if the player did not leave.Team: Levante

Serhou Guirassy
Perhaps the least media-friendly name on this short list, but still an option that is very much liked in the club´s offices. In Germany, it is noted that he is a profile highly valued by the sports management, especially after his outstanding performance in the last edition of the Champions League: he finished as the top scorer with 13 goals —tied with Raphinha— and even scored a hat trick against Barça in the second leg of the quarter-finals.Team: Borussia Dortmund
